Biography

Dr Luk is a joint replacement surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgeries. She completed her orthopaedic residency training at Queen Mary Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She is a trainer for the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Her clinical interests include total hip replacement by the direct anterior approach and robotic assisted joint replacement. She has received training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr Luk believes in the importance of prehabilitation before surgery, and developed the Structured Non-Surgical Program for osteoarthritis at the MacLehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre.

Dr Luk is the Bone Bank Director of Queen Mary Hospital since 2024 and a member of the Hong Kong West Cluster Transplant Coordinating Committee. She is responsible for running the service for procurement, storage and supply of bone and soft tissue allografts.

Dr Luk is also passionate about medical outreach. She has volunteered her medical expertise locally and internationally in Cambodia, Tanzania, India and Zambia.
