Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, to commence as soon as possible for 3 years.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Biomechanics or Bioengineering with experience in biological and/or medical science. The ideal applicant will serve as the interface between biology and biomechanics, primarily focusing on spinal disorders but flexible to address other orthopaedic topics. A track record of peer-reviewed journal publications is expected. Experience in working with animal models and human specimens will be desirable. Duties: Organize, carry out and coordinate research projects, data collection and analysis in an independent fashion and as a member of the research team. Assist in the supervision of students and research assistants. Act responsibly and autonomously within the university structure for the development of his/her research career, while being provided mentorship/supervision by senior staff. Assist in grant writing, publishing studies in peer-reviewed journals, presentation of research work at conferences, and provide research support to the principal investigator.
