The University of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital

The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at The University of Hong Kong was established in 1961. It has since grown and matured to a well-staffed and equipped organization with a world-wide reputation in clinical service, teaching, and research. As a part of the Faculty of Medicine, it provides undergraduate teaching for medical students, post-graduate courses in medical sciences and carries out research in clinical and basic science related to orthopaedics. As a part of the Hospital Authority, the department serves a major portion of the population of Hong Kong and provides post-graduate specialty training for surgeons.
